They have been showcased at the new gallery of the Louvre Museum in Paris between 2001 and 2003 . Her work is being successfully selected and hung in the Royal Academy summer exhibition 2007. Li's work are part of the private collection of the Commercial Bank Qatar . Li's artistic roots originate from her Chinese heritage but also draw upon her exploration of European culture. Her collection of ink and wash paintings on canvas, exhibited at the gallery of the American Virginia Commonwealth University School of Art in Qatar, was received as a fruitful union of Chinese and European aesthetics. The Chinese sensibility was successfully reconciled through the mixture of western and eastern art media. In empathy with the spirit of the Experimental Ink and Wash movement, a new Chinese art form, Li's works are focused on preserving the force of the traditional medium of Chinese ink. At the same time she expands its language of space by incorporating it successfully into the contemporary art practice. Li Chevalier is member of the French National Fine Arts Society since 2003 and of the French National Council for Fine Art since 2004. |
